Holiday Cottages Group, a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide, is the umbrella company for a number of carefully developed brands in the holiday rental market, including Blakes, Individual Travellers Company, Country Cottages and Cottages4you. Published three times a year, Escape is sent to 150,000 of Holiday Cottages’ most active customers.
Story won the contract to produce Escape magazine in 2008. Concentrating on locations in the British Isles, Spain, France and Tuscany, the magazine has a lively mix of destination and themed travel features, complemented by striking and original photography.

Story was also given the opportunity to relaunch Holiday magazine, the customer magazine for RCI’s exchange members in the UK and Western Europe. Like RCI’s sister magazine, Endless Vacation, the new magazine marries the words of established travel journalists to fresh and innovative photography. And like Endless Vacation, the new RCI magazine is packed full of inspiring, engaging features.
In addition to the main English language version, Story has localised the magazine into 15 language editions, including Russian, Turkish and Hungarian.
A readership survey in 2009 revealed 90% positive feedback on Story's dramatic refresh. The survey also reinforced the key role the magazine now plays as a member retention tool, with readers citing it as one of the key benefits of membership.
