Innovation, design and user experience (then called communication theory) were the three reasons David entered the creative field ─ long before the advent of personal computing, email and surfing the Internet. Ever since the first Apple computer, Apple has been David’s constant companion due to its equal concern for design, user experience and technology. David especially admires Apple because it transformed the technology, music and telecom industries with its spectacular hardware and software innovations.

David grew up in a postwar, cookie-cutter, mono-culture suburb. By the time he graduated from high school, he had heard enough rock ‘n’ roll music to last a lifetime. He embarked on a journey to discover new music, finding soul, beats and funk, sounds that were more resonant and satisfying. Now, whenever he returns to the Midwest from Seattle, hitting the rental car radio presets feels very much like entering a musical time warp.
